Marina Komaroff, Dr.PH, MPH, MS is a Director of Biostatistics department at Noven Pharmaceuticals, which is a partner company of Hisamitsu in Tokyo, Japan. For the past 15 years, she has worked with research physicians and epidemiologists on the development and analysis of randomized clinical trials testing the efficacy and safety of investigational new drugs. Her major responsibility is collaborating with clinicians and regulatory management on statistical strategy and communication with the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) about the research methods and statistical analyses that must be reviewed, monitored and approved by the FDA before a new drug can be licensed for sale. She earned Doctorate Degree in Public Health from State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center, Epidemiology and Biostatistics department; Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She is a fluent in Russian and hold a master’s in science from Saint Petersburg University (Russia) where she majored in applied mathematics. She is a member of American Public Health Association (APHA) and American Statistical Association (ASA); and have presented posters and papers at many professional conferences. She is a “Best Paper†winner from PharmaSUG conferences in 2017 and 2018 years.

Umesh Prabhu is Currently working as Medical Adviser for Edgehill University for international medical recruitment, Patron of AvMA (Charity which helps patients who have suffered due to ‘Medical Negligence), also Member of Patient Safety Advisory committee of Datix. After his graduation in India Dr Prabhu came to the UK in 1982. He then trained in Paediatrics at Oxford, Edinburgh and Leeds and in 1992 was appointed as a Consultant Paediatrician to the Bury NHS Trust. In 1998 he was appointed as the Medical Director of Bury Trust. He was a Non-executive member of the UK National Patient Safety Agency from 2001-2003. He was a National Adviser to the National Clinical Assessment Service of UK from 2003 to 2015. He also held the post of Medical Director of Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh FT, Greater Manchester, UK from 2010 to 2017. He has given more than 200 lectures and conducted many workshops for doctors nationally and internationally on patient safety, quality, why doctors make mistakes, professional regulation, value-based leadership, clinical governance and so on and advised and helped more than 500 doctors, mostly Indian doctors in UK.

Dr Manuele Biazzo is the Research Director of the Institute of Cellular Pharmacology (ICP Ltd). He obtained an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Medical Biotechnology (cum laude) at the University of Siena (Italy). He also obtained a PhD in Molecular and Industrial Biology (University of Bologna Italy) and a Master in Business Administration at the Anglia Ruskin University. He has worked in Novartis Vaccine before moving to Malta and accept the role of Director at ICP. This company has always investigated the pathogenesis of osteoporosis and the role that natural extract originated from marine algae could have to treat and prevent them. On September 7, 2018, the Institute of Cellular Pharmacology has been recognized by the French Government as an Official Research Centre that can carry out any research activity in behalf of any French companies. This recognition has been awarded thanks to the work Dr Biazzo developed on the human papilloma virus (HPV) infection together with Dott. Monda. Dr Biazzo is also managing the first virology laboratory in Malta working on human papilloma virus and human cytomegalovirus (beside other animal viruses). His experience as a Director of a research company and his experience as researcher in Novartis Vaccines and part time Lecture increased tremendously his ability to transmit the scientific knowledge to students and professionals. For this reason he has recently submitted a successful application to Maltese NCFHE Higher Education Institution License for the ‘’Institute of Cellular Pharmacology Training Academyâ€, where he has the role of Academy Head.

Dipak Ramji is Professor of Cardiovascular Science at the School of Biosciences in Cardiff University. He received his BSc (Hons) degree (Biochemistry) and his PhD (Molecular Biology) from the University of Leeds. This was followed by post-doctoral research at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (Heidelberg) and the Istituto di Ricerche di Biologia Molecolare P. Angeletti (Rome) with fellowships from the Royal Society and the EU. He joined Cardiff University in 1992 and completed 25 years of service in August 2017. His research is focused on understanding how the immune and inflammatory responses regulate cellular processes in heart disease with the goal of attaining deeper mechanistic insight and identifying preventative/therapeutic agents. His research has been funded by several organisations and received continuous funding from the British Heart Foundation since 1997. He has published over 150 research articles (h index 33 and i10 index 64 with over 5500 citations). He is an Editorial Board member of 16 international journals; regular organising committee member, speaker and track/session chair at international conferences on heart disease; involved in grant evaluation for over 20 organisations; and supervised over 25 PhD students. In addition to research, he is involved in teaching and administration, including Postgraduate Tutor for the Biomedicine division at the School of Biosciences and external examiner for Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Reading and Kings College London.

Shenyuan Yuan, Professor and Chief physician of Internal Medicine, Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University. I graduated from Peking University Dept.of Medicine in 1955 and get MD&BS. I have been engaged in medical career for 62 years. I served as Director of Internal Medicine, Director of Digestive Science, and Director of Endocrinology in Beijing Tongren Hospital. I was the first head of the Beijing Diabetes Prevention and Treatment Office. I was Vice Chairman of Chinese Society on Microcirculation, Special member of European Society on Microcirculation, Director of Beijing Society of Digestion, CMA. I have won 21 awards, including the first Prize, the second prize and the third prize of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Progress. 23 postgraduate students were trained under my guidance. In 1990, I enjoyed the Special Allowance of the State Council, and awarded as outstanding contribution expert in Beijing. Since 1996, I have carried out medical consultation work in communities for 22 years. I assisted in the establishment of Diabetes Prevention and Treatment Centers in Chaoyang district, Fengtai district, Mentougou district, Changping district, Daxing district and Yanqing district in Beijing. Now, I am principal leader of Beijing Community Diabetes Study (“BCDSâ€, 2008-2018) and the BRIDGES project from the International Diabetes Federation.

Professor Nikola M. Pavlovic has graduated at the Medical Faculty, University Nis, Serbia in 1974, and become BMedSci 1979, Lecturer in Internal Medicine 1979, Specialist in Internal Medicine 1982, PhD of Medical Sciences 1986, and Associate Professor in Internal Medicine1988. As the Research Fellow, he was doing clinical and experimental work aimed at looking at the role of lipids in the initiation and the progression of renal diseases. He has a long-standing interest in looking at the clinical and epidemiologic characteristics of BEN and has the vast experience and expertise in diagnosis and treatment of renal and disorders in hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients. He is an experienced Specialist in Internal Medicine and Nephrology with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry.
