Dr. John Wodarski is a Professor in the College of Social Work and Senior Research Scientist in the Center for Behavioral Health Research at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. He has served as a Principal Investigator on multiple projects funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and foundations.

His interests include substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and evidence-based treatments.

Dr. Carla Marzetti, Scientific Director and Founder of the Val Sambro Laboratory. She is a biologist, has always had the vocation to research, aware that only the improvement and innovation of its services can be the right answer to the growing needs of patients. She completed her degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Bologna in the year 1979. Her Postgraduate internship at S. Orsola Hospital in Bologna, Professional Italian Biologists 1982, Health Director of Laboratory Analysis Valsambro from 1980 to present. Extreme member of the Biological Science Examination Committee for State Examination. Scientific consultant for various pharmaceutical companies for the study and formulation of food integration products. Her research activity includes the collaboration since 2010 with ISOF Institute at C.N.R. Bologna for Nano-Microscopy and Hyper thermal Image Organic Applications (HIS).

Her research areas are Microbiology, Clinical Biochemistry, Parasitology, Food intolerance and Toxicology.

Dr. Nassiri is a former Associate Dean of Global Health at the Michigan State University (MSU). He also served as MSU director of Institute of International Health. He is currently Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Professor of Family and Community Medicine, and, lecturer in Global Health, Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine. He currently works on international public health issues relating to chronic diseases and has expertise in global health. He has made contributions in various fields of medical sciences including clinical investigation and health education. On the basis of his extensive experience and expertise in chronic infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS, TB as well as antimicrobial resistance and human gut microbiome, he developed clinical research programs in Brazil, South Africa, Haiti, Dominican Republic and Mexico. He had served as editorial board member for the journal of HIV and AIDS Review. He is currently on editorial board member for AIDS Patient Care and STDs. Prof. Nassiri has delivered seminar presentations on Tropical Medicine, HIV/AIDS, TB, Global Health and public health interventions in numerous national and international conferences and workshops. He is internationally recognized for his work in the areas of building effective international partnerships particularly in global health, community health, clinical care capacity building, and technical assistance mechanism. He is the founder of Michigan State University Osteopathic and Primary Health Clinic in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. He has developed academic and research partnership programs with Federal University of Para Institute of Tropical Medicine in Belem, Brazil.

His research interests are Clinical Pharmacology of HIV/AIDS & TB, human gut microbiome, antibiotic resistance, prevention and control of infectious diseases, neglected tropical diseases, community health, global health, socio-ethical determinants of health, and community-based public health interventions. In collaboration with his Brazilian colleagues, he conducts research in the eastern Brazilian Amazon population on incidence and prevalence of HIV, TB, Hepatitis C, HPV, and antimicrobial resistance.

Mr. Vincent Dumez holds a finance degree and a master in science of management from Montreals international business school Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC). Up until 2010, Mr. Dumez was an associate in one of Montreals most influential consulting firm where he acted as a senior strategic consultant. Suffering from severe chronic diseases for more than three decades, M. Dumez has been actively involved in the promotion of the patient partner concept at Universite de Montreal. This involvement has come forward over the recent years through the completion of his masters dissertation on patient-doctor relationship, his contribution to the training of patients, his work on boards of healthcare organizations and his involvement as a speaker in healthcare conferences. Since 2010, Mr. Dumez has developed the patient partnership program at the Faculty of Medicine. He is now co-leading with Dr. Antoine Boivin the Centre of Excellence on Partnership with the patients and public

He is highly interested in development of patient-doctor relationship. This involvement has come forward over the recent years through the completion of his master dissertation on patient-doctor relationship, his contribution to the training of patients, his work on boards of healthcare organizations and his involvement as a speaker in healthcare conferences. Dr. Chevillard Christophe, completed his Diploma of Advanced Studies in Enzymology at Faculty of Sciences of Luminy, University of Aix-Marseille II in 1991. In 1994, he completed PhD degree in Cell Biology and Microbiology, University of Aix-Marseille II. In 2003, Habilitation to Direct Research, specialty Infectious Diseases at Timone Faculty of Medicine, University of Aix-Marseille II. Currently, he is the team leader of CR1 INSERM. His current project is Identification of a predictive/prognostic genetic signature in Chagas Cardiomyopathy: A systems biology approach. He is expertised in the fields of infectious diseases, infectious disease epidemiology, cardiomyopathy, genetic and genomic, statistics and/or modeling of infectious diseases, epidemiology training, programme evaluation. He had several reputed publications. He got 2 patents- “Fibrosis susceptibility gene and uses thereof” and “A diagnostic method for dementias".

His research ares are infectious diseases, infectious disease epidemiology, cardiomyopathy, genetic and genomic, statistics and/or modeling of infectious diseases, epidemiology training, programme evaluation.

Dr Sergey Suchkov, M, PhD, is a Professor in Immunology, Dept of Pathology, School for Pharmacy, First Moscow State Medical University; a Dean of the Department (Faculty) of The PPPM Development, and the First Vice-President of the University of World Business, Politics and Law; Secretary General, United Cultural Convention (UCC), Cambridge, UK to cover a lot of responsibilities including research in the area of mechanisms of chronization, intertalks between innate and adaptive immunity, and interdisciplinary (medical, bioethical, economical, social and politicxal) issues covering PPPM. Dr Suchkov has been collaborating with scientists from USA, Japan, Germany, Israel and other countries to set up a new brand in the modern medicine,i.e., PPPM. In 1991-1998, He is a CoSupervisor over the Russian-American Agreement on scientific and clinical collaboration in the field of ocular immunology between Russian Academy of Sciences and National Institutes of Health (NIH); in 1991-1995, a member of The Reciprocal Exchange Fellowship Program between Russian Immunological Society and British Society for Immunology. He is an author of more than 500 publications including 10 patents and more than 10 monographs, handbooks and textbooks published in Russia and USA. He is a Supervisor for 18 dissertations maintained including 14 Candidates and 4Doctors of Science. At present, 10 dissertaions are being supervised by him. He is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, ACS, AHA, EPMA, ARVO, ISER. He is a member of the Editorial Boards of Open Journal of Immunology, EPMA Journal, American J. of Cardiovascular Research & Personalized Medicine Universe.

Mark Feitelson received his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology in 1979 from the UCLA School of Medicine. He was an American Cancer Society postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University from 1980-82, and was then recruited to the Fox Chase Cancer Center by Dr. Baruch Blumberg (Nobel laureate). In 1991, Dr. Feitelson became Associate Professor of Pathology and Cell Biology and head of the Molecular Diagnostics Lab in Microbiology at Thomas Jefferson University. In 2007, Dr. Feitelson moved to Temple University, where he is now Professor of Biology. His research has been supported by NIH, industry and foundations for more than 35 years, has more than 140 publications, and is presently head of the Professional Science Master’s program in Biotechnology at Temple University.

His research interests have encompassed the pathogenesis of chronic hepatitis B infection and development of hepatocellular carcinoma on the cell and molecular levels.

Dr. Laurice Fretwell is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Health and Life Sciences, De Montfort University, UK. Her research interest includes Cardiovascular cell signalling, Physiology, Pharmacology, Potassium channels, GPCRs, VEGFRs. She completed her BSc in Physiology and Pharmacology – Nottingham Trent University in the year 2005. In 2009, she completed her PhD in Cardiovascular Cell Signalling – Nottingham Trent University. In 2013, she completed her Career Development Fellow in Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Drug Discovery – The University of Nottingham. She have memberships in British Pharmacological Society and The Physiological Society. Her area of teaching includes Organ Systems Physiology, Pharmacology and Statistics.

Her research interest focuses on Cell-based assays, Pressure myography, Organ bath studies, Western blot, Molecular biology, Regional haemodynamics, Statistics and experimental design.

Prof. Dr. Alireza Heidari, Ph.D., D.Sc. is a Full Professor and Academic Tenure of Chemistry at California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA. Mohamed Eddouks is Professor at Moulay Ismail University, Faculty of Sciences and Techniques Errachidia, Morocco. He is a researcher in Physiology and Pharmacology with a Master Degree in Metabolic and Molecular Endocrinology from University of Paris vi, a specialized certificate in Endocrine Pharmacology from University of Paris vii and PhD degrees in Physiology and Pharmacology from University of Liege, Belgium and Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University, Fez, Morocco. After his post-doctoral fellowship at Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine of Montreal, Canada, he is working for the last 16 years on medicinal plants. His work on antidiabetic and antihypertensive plants is well recognized globally. His research focuses on ethnobiological as well as pharmacological issues in the use of Moroccan medicinal plants for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, obesity and hypertension. His contribution to this field includes four international books and more than 80 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters of international repute. Dr. Sasha Shafikhani completed his undergraduate and PhD studies at University of California at Berkeley and postdoctoral studies at University of California at San Francisco. Dr. Shafikhani is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Rush University Medical Center. He serves on editorial board of six reputed journals. As a cellular microbiologist, his group conducts projects that involve bacterial pathogenesis, cancer biology, and chronic wound healing. The primary focus of his laboratory is: (i) to determine the virulence mechanisms in the bacterial pathogen, particularly Pseudomonas aeruginosa; (ii) to determine the eukaryotic host responses that are intended to control bacterial pathogen infections; and (iii) to employ bacterial toxins as molecular tools to dissect important mammalian cellular processes such as cytokinesis, apoptotic program cell death, and apoptotic compensatory proliferation signalling.

Shaik O. Rahaman, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland, USA. His laboratory is interested in elucidating the signaling events underlying the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and fibrosis. Dr. Rahaman earned his PhD in Molecular Biology at Jadavpur University, and a BS in Human Physiology (Honors), and an MS in Biophysics and Molecular Biology from University of Calcutta. From 2000-2014, Dr. Rahaman worked at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, USA, as a Postdoctoral Fellow, eventually as a Project Scientist and Assistant Professor. He was the recipient of the American Heart Association Scientist Development Grant, NIH-R01 grant, and NSF grant. Dr. Rahaman is the author or co-author of 23 research papers in high impact international peer-reviewed journals of repute. Dr. Rahaman has given numerous invited talks nationally and internationally, and is a reviewer/editorial board member in numerous scientific journals. Dr. Rahaman also served as a reviewer for National Institute of Health (USA).

His laboratory is interested in elucidating the signaling events underlying the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and fibrosis.

Dr. Liang is now Research Assistant Professor in State Key Laboratory of Digestive Disease, Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. With her expertise in cancer genomics, epigenetics, molecular biology, and new biomarker identification, she aims to elucidate relevant molecular mechanisms and to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets. As a young scientist, she has been the principal investigator for 7 external competitive grants (1 project supported by HMRF Hong Kong, 3 projects supported by NSFC China, 3 projects supported by municipal fund) and 3 internal university grants, and co-investigator for 13 other projects. Her work has resulted in publication of 35 peer-reviewed research articles, of which 16 are as first/co-first or corresponding author, 8 patents and 22 conference abstracts. She has delivered speeches at 9 international and 9 national/local conferences in recent 5 years, 6 of which are invited talks. She was invited to moderate the World Cancer Conference in London in 2016 (a 3-day conference with over 200 attendees), and proficiently chaired the conference sessions in several national and local meetings. She has received recognition for her excellent research work with 15 research awards in recent five years (AACR travel award, UEGW Oral Free Paper Prize, ICG Women Scientists Award, Hong Kong HMRF Research Fellowship, CUHK Research Excellence Award, etc)

Dr. Enkhtuya Palam, Lead Researcher of the National Center for Public Health Mongolia. She completed her degree in Public Health Sciences at the Medical University of Irkutsk, Russia in the year 2003. Her Postgraduate internship at Seoul National University in Korea, Lead Researcher of the National Center for Public Health from 1997 to present. Her research activity includes the NCD KAP survey since 2010 and 2012 and also National STEPS survey on prevalence of risk factors in 2005, 2009 and 2013.

Xinjun Jiang is a PhD candidate in Nursing School, Peking University. Her research area is about the diabetes self-management education for persons with diabetes.Now she is conducting a culturally sensitive diabetes education program in China, with the purpose of helping persons with diabetes change behaviour and keep desirable results in blood glucose levels.

Fatemeh Malekdar is a research assistant at the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute. Her main research interests are in FMD virus. She is currently working on a MSc thesis on the Designing Indirect ELISA Test for Detection of Antibodies against Serotype A2013 and O2010 of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) Virus in Cattle.The research is supervised by Professor Homayoon Mahravani in FMD department.

Kirsty Tan is a Masters of AgriGenomics student at Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel in Germany. She is specializing in Animal Breeding, Genetics and Nutrition of farm animals.
